Wellness isn’t just about what we eat, how much we exercise, or the supplements we take. It’s deeper than that. It’s internal. It’s soul-deep. And for me, that foundation is faith.
Faith isn’t just a belief system—it’s the driving force behind every aspect of my well-being. In fact, I don’t believe in following organized religion. I am a Christ follower who seeks to live by what Jesus taught… and is still teaching. When I prioritize my relationship with God, I don’t just feel spiritually aligned; I physically feel stronger, my mind is more precise, and my anxiety is eased.
Following Christ isn’t just a spiritual experience—it’s a transformation that shows and takes hold in every dimension of my health.
I’ve lived through seasons when my body felt off, stress weighed me down, and anxiety kept me from fully stepping into my purpose—and, one tremendous season that changed my life forever – emergency spine surgery. No matter the symptoms or seasons, I tried everything—wellness routines, productivity hacks, supplements, workouts. But nothing indeed created lasting peace and strength until I fully surrendered to God’s plan. When I put faith first, everything else started to fall into place.
How Faith Strengthens My Mind and Body
- Mental Clarity & Peace – Prayer and scripture remind me that I don’t have to carry everything alone. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to bring our worries to God, and in return, we receive peace beyond understanding. And let me tell you, it’s real. When I lean into faith, my overthinking quiets, my mind sharpens, and decisions feel more intuitive because I’m listening to God, not fear.
- Physical Strength & Energy – Stress and anxiety are exhausting. But faith is fuel. Jesus calls us to cast our burdens on Him (Matthew 11:28-30), and I notice my body follows when I do. My energy shifts. My posture lifts. The tension eases. My (physical therapy) workouts feel better, my sleep improves, and I physically feel stronger.
- Emotional Resilience – Life has thrown me so many punches (as I’m sure it has for you, too), but faith keeps me grounded. When challenges come, I remind myself that God already has a plan. And while we always have ‘free will,’ God will always ensure the best possible outcome for our purpose is achieved. I’ve stopped reacting in fear and started responding in trust. That shift has changed everything—my stress levels and emotional well-being. Faith reminds me that every challenge is a setup for something greater.
Faith & Wellness: A Daily Practice
Choosing to walk in faith might be the hardest thing you ever do, but it’s also the most rewarding. It requires trust when everything feels uncertain, surrender when you want control, and perseverance when the world tells you to quit. But with every challenge, faith strengthens you—mentally, physically, and spiritually—leading to a wellness that no quick fix or temporary solution can provide.
Faith isn’t something I compartmentalize—it’s woven into everything. Whether I’m nourishing my body with whole foods, taking my NOVA supplements (obvi), moving my body, or spending time in deep prayer, it’s all connected. The more I prioritize my faith, the more my entire being—mind, body, and soul—thrives.
True wellness isn’t just external—it starts within. Faith is the ultimate foundation that keeps me strong, balanced, and fully alive. How can we truly be well without relying on the One who designed us, without nourishing our souls with the Holy Spirit? God is the ultimate source of wellness—our healer (Jehovah Rapha), our sustainer (El Shaddai), and the foundation (The Rock - Elohim Tsuri) of all that strengthens us from the inside out.
So, if you’ve been searching for peace, strength, or just a better way to feel whole—start there. Just give a sliver of an opening to allowing God to come into your life and FEEL how things shift. Let faith be more than something you believe. Let it be something you live.
Toodles!
Yours in stardust,
