What is D-Ribose?
D-ribose, or just ribose, is a type of sugar that bodies produce naturally. It is synthesized within our cells countless times a day and is a primary key to fueling and powering our bodies. Lights, please! Every cell in our body requires ribose to produce energy and function properly. If we must continue to prove its worth, it fights fatigue and encourages recovery at the individual cell level. Although it is classified as a type of sugar, it does not raise blood sugar levels.
To get a small understanding of how important ribose is, these are the impressive averages a heart produces a day in terms of energy.* The heart, one of the most active organs in the body, expends a vast amount of energy pumping blood around the clock. What is ATP?
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a molecule that stores and provides energy for various cellular processes in living organisms.
